Dr. Burk is an associate professor of veterinary medicine at the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine and a member of the board of directors of the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Society. Dr. Danowski grew up on Long Island, N.Y., and earned his bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine. He then completed his residency at Raptor and Avian Medicine and Surgery, specializing in the treatment of birds of prey and other birds in Northfield, MN, and earned his PhD in veterinary medicine from the University of Minnesota in May 2016.
He attended Whittier College in California for his bachelor's degree, then went to Tufts Veterinary School in Boston, MA to study DVM and received his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Michigan State University in May 2014. Melissa graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine and a Master's degree in animal science.
Dr. Schowalter graduated from the University of Minnesota in May 2006 and joined the Eagan Pet Clinic shortly thereafter. In 2018, she became a board member of Northfield Veterinary Medical Center with Dr. Peterson, and in 2018, the first female member of the board of trustees of the Minnesota Humane Society.
Dr. Hansen is the owner of the Eagan Pet Clinic and started her practice on June 26, 2002 in Minnesota and has been helping horses and their owners ever since. Dr. Karen graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and worked in small animal and general medicine before joining the MN Pets team. Before she entered a large animal / neuter practice, she worked for two years as a veterinarian in a private practice.

Her professional interests include internal medicine and prevention, and she sees herself as an expert in guiding owners through the different phases of their pets "lives. Although she does not attend residential appointments, she is involved in almost everything else during her visits to MN Pets. She is honored to work with MN Pets to provide a wide range of veterinary services for pets in the Northfield area. One is that she feels honoured and can help celebrate her compassion and respect.
After spending most of her career as an emergency vet, Dr. Susan A. was born in Minnesota. She attended the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where she earned her bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine and master's degree in veterinary science. In 2001 she received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Vienna.
She was introduced to Phi Zeta Kappa during her studies at the Veterinary College and received the World Animal Care Foundation Award for her contributions to veterinary medicine in the United States and abroad.
Dr. Nikki Burk attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned her B.S. in veterinary science. Though she loves Minnesota, she attended Iowa State University for her bachelor's degree and will forever be a big 12 fan (sorry, Gophers). She lives with her husband and three children in Northfield, Minnesota, and studied at the University of New York River Falls.

In her free time, Dr. Peterson enjoys spending time with her family, pets and friends. In veterinary medicine Lindsey likes to read, listen to music, travel, spend some time in the sun of the Twin Cities with friends and read. She shares a house with three precious Chihuahuas named Jefe, Cholo and Chango, as well as her husband and three children.
Dr. Mary loves to reduce the stress of pets and pet owners by bringing veterinary care to their homes and into the lives of their pets in the Northfield area.
In addition to MN Pets, she is an assistant professor of veterinary dentistry at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She has owned and operated a clinic in Northfield, MN for over 15 years. She has taken advanced and advanced courses in dentistry, including training the world's best veterinarians in lectures and laboratories. We support the faculty in teaching University of Minnesota students of veterinary medicine dentistry and laboratories, and we also accept dental referrals from other local veterinarians to treat complex dental cases.
